One entrepreneur's secret to success: rotating who's in charge
After assembling an arsenal of 128 chemical and biologicaltechnologies to address virtually any under-ground contaminationproblem, Environmental Remediation and Financial Services CEOMark Vigneri, 42, took steps to ensure that above ground, humanresources were equally well coordinated.
His "wheel" management system is based on a chart thatidentifies all employees based on their skills and expertise. Thechart is constructed so that if, for example, an environmentalscientist requires additional materials during subsurface drilling,he immediately knows who to call and has the authority to doso. "There is no hierarchy," says Vigneri. "The goalis to keep the project moving forward."
