American icons, such asJohn Wayne and Marilyn Monroe, were popular, as were retro designsin everything from kids' furniture to toys. Also seen:

  • Micro-pets-mini-dogs andcats that respond to noise commands.
  • Stick-on 3-D butterflies andfairies
