Glendale, California--The International House ofPancakes, which shut down its six A-frame restaurants in theMilwaukee area a decade ago, is now back in the area with aredesigned look and a renewed emphasis on broadening beyond itsbreakfast niche.
IHOP, which started in California in 1958, quickly became famousfor serving breakfast items throughout the day and spread acrossthe country. Today the company, which is 95 percentfranchisee-operated, offers a menu that includes sandwiches, saladsand entrees like pot roast and chicken-fried steak.-Milwaukee Journal Sentinel
