Why punches are flying among plane angry passengers

"Air rage" is on the rise. During the past four tofive years, the number of reported incidents has increasedsignificantly, according to the International Air TransportAssociation. The reason? Overbooked and longer delays aretesting passengers' patience.

On a recent trip to , for example, a flight attendant wasbeaten with a broken vodka bottle. Earlier this year, a flight onits way to had to make a mid-flight U-turn because anapparently intoxicated passenger began beating his girlfriend.
