Tricks for getting through the airport in this lifetime

If you thought air travel in a post-September 11 world wasdifficult, wait 'til post-November 19.

November 19 is the deadline for airports to switch from privatesecurity to government-employed screeners as required by theAviation and Transportation Security Act. The timing couldn'tbe worse: The period between Thanksgiving and New Year's is oneof the busiest for airline travel. Airline critics such as KevinMitchell of the Business Travel Coalition are predicting longdelays. "You might have to wait as much as three hours to getchecked in," Mitchell warns.
