Adding game elements to your website or app "need not be an expensive process," says gamification expert Gabe Zicherman. If engaging employees is your goal, consider tools such as Rypple or Due Props, a peer recognition game. When looking to gamify a web or mobile app, Zicherman suggests tools such as Big Door, which offers a free gamification platform. And for retail companies, free gamification tools such as Foursquare or SCVNGR offer customers incentives for checking in at your business.
