This One Strategy Will Keep You on the Path to Success
We all have dreams and goals we want to accomplish. But if we view them in terms of manageable systems as opposed to larger-than-life monoliths, we usually feel better and get a lot more done.
Here are three reasons why:
1. Happiness. When you're working toward a big milestone, it's common to feel frustrated or overwhelmed. If you start feeling pressured or burdened, focus your energy on the day-to-day instead. Write 10 pages instead of two chapters, or run one mile instead of three.
2. Motivation. After a goal is achieved, you can feel like you don't know where to put your energy next. That leaves in you in danger of falling into a slump. Take away the emphasis on needing immediate results.
3. Expectations. You never know what life will throw at you, so don't worry about things you can't control. Remember that while a goal can set you in a positive direction, it is just one part of a long system of success.
