Could Your Posts Pass Guy Kawasaki's Social Media Test?

  • ---Shares

In his latest book, The Art of Social Media: Power Tips for Power Users, Guy Kawasaki explains what it takes to create posts that will deliver value to your followers, build your brand and share your story. The chief evangelist at Canva, an Australia-based graphics-design service, says that "good stuff" comes in four forms:

  • Information. What happened?
  • Analysis. What does it mean?
  • Assistance. How can I do that?
  • Entertainment. Posts that amuse and surprise.

"The goal is to emulate what I call the 'NPR model," writes Kawasaki, adding that your social content strategy's goal is to earn the privilege to run your own pledge drive.

In this quick video, Kawasaki discusses the four elements of valuable social posts and the "NPR model" for perfecting your posts. Watch and learn how to boost interest in your next post.
