Beating procrastination isn't something that happens overnight. According to Entrepreneur Network partner and motivational speaker Stone Jordan, it takes continuous work to literally make your prefrontal cortex, which controls cognitive thinking and decision-making, stronger than the more primitive amygdala, which controls memory and emotional reaction.
Jordan says that just as we should be working out our bodies every day, we should also be performing daily proactivation workouts for our brains. Proactivity is the opposite of procrastination, so every time you do a proactivation workout, you grow the prefrontal cortex by being challenged.
