Author of 'Get Rich, Lucky Bitch!' Explains How to Do Just That

In this video, news anchor-turned-business and lifestyle consultant Emily Richett talks with Money Mindset Mentor and soon-to-be-second-time mom Denise Duffield-Thomas about her humble beginnings as a life coach to building a million-dollar business while prioritizing her family.

Her best-selling books, Lucky Bitch and Get Rich, Lucky Bitch, have helped women across the globe release their fear of money, set premium prices for their services and take back control over their finances.

"Like a lot of entrepreneurs, I wanted to have my own business my whole life, and if I look back at how I was as a kid, not only did I start little businesses, but I was always a kid that people would ask advice from -- and I didn't know that was a job for a long time," she says. "It wasn't until I was in my late 20s that I realized -- hey, maybe I could be a life coach."

In her dealings with would-be entrepreneurs who face roadblock after roadblock, Duffield-Thomas says that with women especially, they get stuck not because they don't know how to do the work to get where they want to go -- it's what is happening inside of their heads that was preventing them from being successful in business.

"Pretty much every single one of my clients had a massive fear around money," she says. "I spent a year researching what money meant to me before I even taught it to my clients. But you don't have to be the expert of the expert to be able to teach a topic -- it's OK for you to be able to contribute to the conversation."

Now, Duffield-Thomas not only contributes to this important conversation -- she's all-in as one of the foremost financial advisors for females with remaining dedicated to motherhood. Click play to learn more.
