Aereo to Broadcasters: Bring It On The digital TV startup says it will not oppose a decision by broadcasting companies to appeal to the Supreme Court.

A startup company has a message for the major players in its industry that have given it heat ever since it launched: bring it on.
In a note published on the Aereo blog, founder and Chief Executive Chet Kanojia said the company "will not oppose" the decision by the major TV broadcasting companies to appeal to the Supreme Court, arguing that Aereo is infringing on their copyrights.
If you're still unfamiliar with New York City-based Aereo, it's a service that uses antennas to capture broadcast signals and make them available to paying users on any type of internet-connected device. First launched in 2011, Aereo is available in a number of markets around the U.S. including New York City, Miami and Atlanta.
But TV broadcasting giants like ABC, CBS Broadcasting Inc., NBCUniversal and Fox Television Studios have sued Aereo in the individual markets it has become available. So far, however, the legal judgememts have been in favor of Aereo. The broadcasters have threatened to take their programming to paid cable if Aereo isn't shut down.
"We are unwavering in our belief that Aereo's technology falls squarely within the law and we look forward to continuing to delight our customers," Kanojia wrote. You can read his full message here.
