To start, think of the information that you remember and ask yourself why you remember that specific information. Whether you've got a knack for presidential quotes or mathematical formulas, we typically remember the things that interest us. In addition, you'll likely think of some bad memories too -- we retain information that affects us.

Repetition, sharing and learning are other ways that Bet-David recommends to enhance your memory. When you are reading and get stuck, rather than moving on, take a second to research and understand. Once you learn, this information is more likely to stick with you.
