The Secret to Successful Leadership? Make and Break Plans. Leaders come in all shapes and sizes. However, the one thing they should all have in common is the ability to make and break plans.

Editor's Note: In the new podcast Masters of Scale, LinkedIn co-founder and Greylock partner Reid Hoffman explores his philosophy on how to scale a business -- and at Entrepreneur.com, entrepreneurs are responding with their own ideas and experiences on our hub. This sort of approach takes guts, the ability to make hard decisions and execute.

According to Lapin and Feifer, this helps companies pivot quicker, scale faster and be successful.
