7 Tips for Entrepreneurs Looking to Build Their Brands on YouTube Know your brand and be consistent, but don't be afraid to experiment and take cues from others' success.

If video is part of your content strategy, building and branding your YouTube channel should be, too. In this episode of "Content Marketing Tips," Entrepreneur Network partner and video content strategist Salma Jafra interviews Brian G. Johnson, author of Tube Ritual Volume I: Jumpstart Your Journey To 5000 YouTube Subscribers!, about his philosophy on personal branding.

Because YouTube is such a popular video platform, it helps brands meet potential clients and customers where they are, Johnson says. Not to mention, YouTube videos often attract viewers years after they're first posted, whereas posts on other social media platforms are more ephemeral.

For entrepreneurs, Johnson outlines seven actionable steps toward building a brand on YouTube. He says it's important to think about how you want to make people feel when they're consuming your content, then settle on elements such as the font and color palette in your videos. He underscores how crucial it is to be consistent, but also how experimenting with a range of topics and settings can help launch your channel to the next level.
