Culture is a hot buzzword often used to attract talent at fledgling startups, help maintain the camaraderie as a business grows or overhaul stale work environments at established companies.

But how leaders choose to implement culture is everything. It needs to ignite inspiration, motivate teams to outperform the competition and allow employers to grow and produce results for the business. A successful high-performance culture has much more to do with the not-so-exciting tactics like transparency, support and communication than with a Ping-Pong tournament.

While it isn't easy to build this sort of high-performance culture, the results pay off in spades. Not only do you have happy, engaged employees but also a team driven to make the company a success.
