In the latest season of Project Grow, we talk to experts about the challenges of growing a business.
Steve Blank, a professor of entrepreneurship and former serial entrepreneur, says there is an explosion of startups in U.S., notably in cities with major universities. That's because students -- 20-year-olds on up -- understand the world has changed, and the old ways of running a business no longer apply, he says. The government is also slowly recognizing that there are many different types of small businesses, all of which need to be supported by different types of ecosystems. Business that are currently struggling need to adapt to new ways; Blank says there are lean processes to employ that can make companies fail less.
