Can haters be your motivators? Terrell Owens thinks so. This record-holding ex-NFL wide-receiver says that "pitfalls, distractors and naysayers" are all part of the growth process.
The lessons came in handy recently as the former athlete filmed the upcoming 14th season of NBC’s Celebrity Apprentice. Owens joined a cast that includes reality star Kate Gosselin and newscaster Geraldo Rivera.
Not getting distracted by negativity can help you focus on getting real work done. “It really takes a team of people to bring whatever it is to fruition,” he says. “I learned that and I grasped that being on that show, knowing that we all had to collectively bring our strengths to the table in order to complete the task.”
In this Google Hangout, Owens discusses his experience on the business-reality show and how he's staying focused as he manages his career toward new avenues, like investing in a new social media app Hang w/ with celebrities 50 Cent and Larry the Cable Guy.Related: Terrell Owens, 50 Cent, Timbaland Team Up With Celebrity-Driven App ‘Hang w/’
