Dave Lerner

Dave Lerner is a serial entrepreneur, angel investor, blogger and host of Venture Studio, an online interview show in which he talks with entrepreneurs, investors, founders and other members of the flourishing New York entrepreneurial ecosystem and beyond.

One of his latest projects is the Startup Genome, a project in partnership with the Kauffman Foundation and Endeavor Global in which he is mapping the world’s early-stage investment and entrepreneurial ecosystems.

Lerner is also the director of entrepreneurship at Columbia University, adjunct professor of entrepreneurship at Columbia Business School and was the director of Columbia’s Venture Lab for seven years where he spun-out more than 70 technology start-ups based on university research.

His personal blog, www.davelerner.com, explores the worlds of entrepreneurship, angel and venture investing and startups. He's been named by Silicon Alley 100 as one of the “top 100 most influential New Yorkers in the digital business community” and “one of NYC’s top 100 early stage investors."
