ALVAR, Inc. is a privately owned company founded in 1979 by Arthur Lersch Sr., located on a 22-acre site in Central IL, allowing for same-day and next-day service to Chicago area. ALVAR, Inc. resides in a 35,000 sq. ft. facility housing manufacturing, warehouse, general offices and research laboratories.
In 2008, ALVAR expanded its total square footage to more than 70,000 square feet to accommodate its latest venture into manufacturing--carbon black dispersions. This state-of-the-art facility will offer dispersions for printing inks, coatings, plastics and other specialty markets.
PRODUCTS' SCOPE
Having served the lithographic market for over 20 years, ALVAR works with a wide array of printing ink manufacturers and flushed color producers. In addition to many custom and proprietary systems, ALVAR offers a full range of heat-set, sheet-fed and cold-web vehicle systems. ALVAR provides its customers a full line of market leading gloss and matte overprints for both the heatset and sheet-fed applications.
ALVAR has the ability to manufacture and package materials ranging from kits to bulk wagons.

R&D CAPABILITIES
ALVAR, Inc. has in depth knowledge of ink vehicle contribution to the printed substrate. Vehicle development draws upon in house experience that spans from basic chemicals to the finished ink. ALVAR's laboratories are capable of formulating custom polymer solutions and proprietary vehicles for any technical demand in our ink industry.
QC CAPABILITIES
ALVAR, Inc. provides a range of quality control and assurance programs suited to each customer's requirements. Lot control programs, SPC and SQC are routinely maintained as internal measures of standard quality.
ISO & ENVIRONMENTAL STANDARDS
The products manufactured by ALVAR, Inc. are numerous and most often customer specific. As a result, conformity to the spirit of ISO quality programs is maintained by a strict adherence to procedure and quality testing standards.

Conn provides low shear blending blades or high shear dispersion blades or complete drive assemblies for processing paints, adhesives, inks, cements, urethane foams, chemicals, slurries, grouts, etc.
TECHNOLOGIES
Conn and Company recognized the need for blending blades and dispersion blades that provided true pumping action. We have brought four patented blades to the market under our trade name CONN Blade[R]. The blades illustrated in our advertisement are the ITT style of stainless steel and our recently patented P-ITT of UHMW Polyethylene which is the most efficient and aggressive poly blade available. All of the CONN Blades[R] provide superior pumping action for better material circulation and top to bottom flow. Our IT style is a high pumping/low shear blending blade and our ITC style is an 8 vane open style blade providing more shear than the IT but is not as aggressive as the ITT.

MAJOR PRODUCTS
The CONN blades are available from 2" diameter to 48" diameter with mounting holes or mounting hubs to retrofit and upgrade your present equipment. Split construction is available for entry through manways. CONN also manufactures complete units and drive assemblies to mount on your tanks. We supply air or electric utility/laboratory mixers, spool-type top entry for flange mounting to your tank and drive assemblies for mounting on bridge support for open top tanks.
