Scott D. Gerber is the founder and CEO of Gerber Entertainment, a brand development and venture management company that invests capital, management expertise, and marketing services into innovative early and mid-stage companies in the entertainment, Internet, media and marketing industries. Founded in 2004, the company has since launched a diverse portfolio of businesses, including Yearbook Innovation, an end-to-end provider of print and digital media school memory products and services; Sizzle It!, the expert in producing video sizzle reels for a global clientele of public relations, marketing and advertising firms; and G* Star, a consulting firm that specializes in providing PR, marketing and media solutions to early stage ventures and emerging multi-channel brands.
Prior to founding Gerber Entertainment, Gerber was the Managing Partner of JOY, a juvenile multimedia company whose products have grossed over $400 million over the last 20 years. He was also an independent producer with several films to his credit including the documentary Climbing to the Crest, which premiered at the 2005 Tribeca Film Festival and raised nearly $1 million for NYC education initiatives.
An accomplished young serial entrepreneur, Gerber has taught thousands of students and young professionals lessons about entrepreneurship. He sits on the Boards of the Tisch East Alumni Council, Yearbook Innovation, and the Staten Island Film Festival, and is an inaugural sponsor of the Eric Trump Foundation. He holds a BFA from New York University's Tisch School of the Arts.
