According to data from Ookla, the world-renowned mobile and fixed internet speed testing and data analysis company, Silknet is the fastest internet provider in Georgia in 2025 for fixed internet. The company previously received the Ookla Speedtest award in 2020.
The American company Ookla, through its comprehensive analytical platform, monitors the quality of fixed and mobile internet networks across various countries worldwide, conducting speed testing via specialized applications. Ookla's services are utilized by providers, mobile operators, businesses, government organizations, and universities globally.
In Georgia, Ookla began network testing last year and conducted observations on quality, speed, and other metrics over a 6-month period. The Speedtest Awards are based on results from this "Award Period," during which data is generated for further processing and analysis.
