On May 30, 2026, with the support of TBC Business, the Giorgi Tukhashvili Startup Awards will take place in Tbilisi for the third time. This year, special focus will be placed on mentorship — a core part of Giorgi's life and work.
The mission of the event remains unchanged — to honor the name of Giorgi Tukhashvili and to spread the values that guided him: supporting people, sharing knowledge, and building a strong startup ecosystem.
In 2026, the event returns with two nominations: Boldest Startup and Best Newcomer. The first category is intended for a startup that has demonstrated significant and systemic progress over the past year. The second aims to encourage early-stage startups.
From the startups nominated in the Best Newcomer category, 5 finalist teams will be selected to participate in a one-day intensive mentorship bootcamp. They will work with experienced mentors to refine their idea/pitch and various components of their startup. Afterwards, they will present their startups to a jury at the main event, which will select the winner of the day.
Winners of both nominations will receive a cash prize.
Long-Term Support
Importantly, all early-stage finalist startups will receive a unique opportunity — free mentorship throughout the year from Giorgi's friends and ecosystem leaders across various fields.
Event Objectives
This year's awards aim to:
● Support early-stage startups and facilitate their growth;
● Foster a strong, collaborative startup community;
● Continue the values that represent Giorgi Tukhashvili's legacy.
