Business and Technology University hosted the presentation of a new work by economist, engineer, and World Economic Forum founder Professor Klaus Schwab. The book ,,Universities, Professors, and Students in the Intelligent Age'' explores the impact of artificial intelligence on trends in academic education. Professor Schwab presented the book to the audience in an online format.
During the presentation held at BTU, Professor Schwab noted that AI is not merely another technological tool, but a systemic transformation that the higher education sector must actively integrate into the process of knowledge delivery. According to him, in the age of artificial intelligence, the education system must shift from teaching facts to developing critical thinking, ethics, and the responsible use of AI.
Regarding the integration of artificial intelligence in higher education and the specific ways it can be applied, Professor Schwab emphasized that universities must create academic programs adapted to contemporary challenges.
Professor Schwab also spoke about the importance of modern universities rapidly adapting to artificial intelligence as a tool in the educational process. "It is a partner, not an enemy," he noted.
The presentation was attended by representatives of the academic community, field experts, students, and invited guests. At the end of the event, Professor Schwab answered questions from the audience about the book and the modern challenges that artificial intelligence poses in the academic field.
The book is available to BTU academic staff at the university library.
