Silk Towers is steadily gaining recognition on the global real estate stage: on March 9-13, the one-of-a-kind project by Silk Development took the spotlight at MIPIM 2026 in Cannes.

MIPIM is one of the most prestigious real estate industry forums, gathering top developers, architects, investors, and professionals from around the world each year. A Georgian company's participation in such a large-scale exhibition helps position the country as an emerging hub for architecture, investment, and tourism. It is worth noting that Silk Towers is the only Georgian project to be nominated for the MIPIM Awards 2026 in the Mixed-Use category.

Silk Towers stands as a unique project in the Black Sea region, designed by legendary Japanese architect Kengo Kuma, the visionary behind Tokyo's Olympic Stadium. The project marks the first collaboration between Georgia and his architectural studio Kengo Kuma & Associates (KKAA).

Construction of Silk Towers is already underway on the Old Batumi waterfront, next to the iconic Ali and Nino sculpture and the Alphabet Tower. Investment apartments make up only part of the development, while the rest of the complex is dedicated to world-class infrastructure. This includes a private yacht club, outdoor and indoor swimming pools, padel courts, spa and fitness centres, bars and restaurants and children's playgrounds. The project has also introduced a new recreational space for the city. In collaboration with the Danish landscape architecture firm MASU Planning, a 2-hectare municipal park has been opened for residents and visitors.

Pre-reservations for Silk Towers apartments began in August 2025. Amid strong international interest, the project has already been showcased at five major real estate exhibitions worldwide: in Poland (Warsaw and Krakow), Turkey (Istanbul), Saudi Arabia (Riyadh), Georgia (Tbilisi), and China (Shanghai). In 2026, Silk Towers was also presented at A Place in the Sun Live 2026 in Manchester, as the only Georgian development project participating in the exhibition.

Silk Development is part of Silk Road Group, one of Georgia's largest holding companies. Since 2005, Silk Development has undertaken numerous large-scale projects, attracting hundreds of millions of US dollars in investment to Georgia. The company places particular importance on safety and environmental responsibility, building trust both locally and with international partners. Silk Towers stands as one of the company's flagship developments, embodying Silk Development's enduring commitment to thoughtful architecture - design that exists in harmony with nature and responds to human needs.
