School Says - Academics
The Crummer School offers the MBA degree in four innovative program formats. Each is designed to provide a general management education with the opportunity to earn a concentration in a chosen business discipline through selection of the elective courses. The Crummer School has a strong focus on entrepreneurial, leadership, and global issues, offering many popular electives in each area. A popular finance elective course provides students the opportunity to direct the real-world investment decisions of the Crummer/SunTrust Portfolio. Three of the four programs (EAMBA, SMBA, and CMBA) have an international study trip required as part of the program of study. Students spend a week overseas visiting with senior executives to gain practical experience in conducting business abroad. Prior to their departure, students research the countries and businesses to be visited so that they may better understand the working environments of their hosts. Once in the country, the students have the opportunity to experience the cultural, social, and business environment in a one-week visit. The Crummer School offers students many hands-on opportunities in order to experience real business issues. Both Domestic and Global Practicums provide additional business problems or consulting projects that students must research and then make a final presentation to an outside board of directors.

School Says - Campus Life
Located in the quaint community of Winter Park along the shores of Lake Virginia, Rollins College captures the best of Florida's warmth and sunshine while providing a dynamic learning environment. The campus is located just 15 minutes from downtown Orlando, the hub for the region's largest employment center with more than 4,400 companies which includes many of the nation's top employers. Crummer Hall houses all of the MBA classrooms as well as all faculty and administrative offices. The executive-style classrooms feature state-of-the-art projection equipment, wireless internet and LAN access. The career development area is an elegant location for recruiters to interview Crummer students. The building also features two executive style board rooms, student lounge, networked study rooms with plasma screens for group presentation practice, executive dining room and a quiet study area.

Students Say - Academics
With an "excellent reputation" in the region, a "great alumni network" and "strong connections to central Florida businesses including Walt Disney World, Darden Restaurants, Morgan Stanley, SunTrust and Universal Orlando," and "numerous global projects,"the Rollins MBA has a lot to offer America's future business tycoons. And with four separate programs-each geared to the needs of a distinct demographic-just about anyone and everyone, from the business neophyte to the experienced manager, can benefit.
Rollins' sole full-time MBA program is its early advantage MBA (EAMBA), which is aimed primarily at recent college grads with little or no work experience-although working stiffs on sabbatical are also welcome. The school also offers three part-time programs: the professional MBA, open to anyone currently employed full-time; the Saturday MBA, designed for mid- to senior-level professionals (minimum 5 years of work experience required); and the executive MBA, which meets on alternate Fridays and Saturdays and is open only to those with at least 10 years of professional experience. Students in all programs praise the "wonderful faculty," who bring a lot to the table with "a high level of professionalism, competence, and real-world experience," as well as their "down-to-earth personalities. They're willing to go the extra mile to assist students." MBAs also appreciate that the curriculum "allows business students to be creative. How often do you get to hear of students having fun and being creative at business school? At Rollins it happens." International business is one of the program's main focal points; each year about 130 students participate in 12-week international consulting projects.
Crummer promotes "numerous presentations and meetings with business leaders" to the great benefit of students; those in the part-time programs, however, note that these events sometimes occur at times inconvenient to students with full-time jobs. In the EAMBA, students tell us they benefit from "a team environment that helps prepare students for the real world." Team spirit is built from the beginning of the program, as students endure the grueling core curriculum in cohorts. MBAs also praise "the wide range of available courses and a good number of concentrations for a school of this size. Academics are rigorous."

Students Say - Admissions
Applicants to Crummer's EAMBA program must provide the school with the following: official transcripts for all undergraduate, graduate, and professional school work; an official GMAT score report; statement of purpose; two 'confidential evaluations' (letters of recommendation); and a resume. Interviews are conducted at the school's invitation only. Applicants to the executive MBA program must meet all of the above requirements in addition to a required interview, and they must also submit proof of their employer's support for their participation. PMBA and SMBA applicants must interview as part of the application process as well.

Students Say - Campus Life
Full-time students at Crummer report that "there is a real sense of belonging and inclusion at the business school. Through the wide range of student-run organizations, our students network with business professionals, volunteer in the community, develop themselves professionally, and socialize with each other." The school provides "plenty of activities and speakers on campus," most often "scheduled around lunchtime so students do not have to leave the business school." Students tell us that "these are great networking events, as well as being informative." Once classes are over, students enjoy "a very social atmosphere on and around campus. Rollins is located on a beautiful campus in a great town where there is lots of shops, restaurants, and fun things to do. It's a great environment to be in."
Part-time students, naturally, are not as involved in campus life, since "Everyone in our program has a full-time job and does not have a lot of time for outside the classroom activities. Still, most students have found ways to get involved in one way or another." Part-timers tell us that many of them "try to get to class early, sometimes even 30 minutes early to set up our computers and chat with the professors, who are always around. This helps with networking and camaraderie." Regardless of their program, students tell us that "classes are intense but interesting. You really need to be prepared, or you can easily get called out by your professor or fellow students for not putting the needed prep work in. Even subjects like accounting are taught from the perspective of the skills a business executive would need to use."

Students Say - Careers
The Career Development Center handles placement services for Rollins MBAs, offering a variety of in-person and online counseling and recruiting services. In 2008, the mean salary for a graduating EAMBA was $53,000; the median salary was $50,000. That's not bad for a group that typically enters the program with no real work experience.
Top employers of Crummer MBAs include: The Walt Disney Company, Radiant, CNL Group, FedEx, Harris Corporation, Johnson & Johnson, Marriott International, Darden Restaurant Group, AT&T, Siemens Westinghouse, CIA, Dynetech, Citigroup, Universal Studios, General Mills, Tupperware, and SunTrust Bank. Students are generally satisfied with the school's ties to the business community, its alumni connections, and its recruiting efforts, although some complain that "we don't get enough recruiting companies outside of banking, financial services, and Disney."
