School Says - Academics
MBA Japan Ââ€" Students can complete second year course work through the McGill MBA Japan, a parallel program delivered by McGill faculty in downtown Tokyo. Joint MBA Ââ€" Joint MBA programs in law and medicine provide students with a specialized knowledge base while preparing them for management and leadership roles. Part Time MBA Ââ€" Some students choose to take the MBA program on a part time basis and continue to work while pursuing their degree. Most part time students complete the program in three or four years. Accelerated Study Ââ€" Qualified candidates who have completed a Bachelor of Commerce or Business Administration degree from a recognized North American university who are accepted are not required to complete the experiential part of the curriculum.

McGill seeks applicants with strong managerial potential. Admissions criteria are strict and decisions are based on many factors: • undergraduate degree (minimum GPA 3.0, average 3.3) and any further academic qualifications • Graduate Management Admissions Test (average GMAT 645) • TOEFL, if applicable • minimum of two years of relevant full time work experience • extracurricular interests • letters of reference

The 2008 entering class will be the first to benefit from brand new MBA facilities that incorporate advanced building technologies, high quality finishes and environmentally friendly features. Classrooms have been refurbished with the latest technology and the entire building facilitates wireless Internet access. A laptop is not required, but highly recommended. Facilities for MBA students include a student lounge, study areas, a conference room, a Computer Lab and the Management Library, which houses an electronic database-searching service and a number of networked databases. Students also enjoy access to sports facilities and health services.
