Students Say - CareersThe Ziff Graduate Career Services Center at the University of Miami is available to graduate business students only and offers career advising, online and on-campus recruiting, a career library, and periodic workshops on resume-writing and job search strategy. Students have mixed opinions on the service. Some complain that "An adequate stream of companies are brought in to speak, but there is no real urgency to hire. Several students pointed out that some of the problems may be more related to the economic downturn than to the Career Services Center. With the one of the largest alumni network in the world, the University of Miami provides students access to a large, international employment base. Companies recruiting UM MBAs in recent years include: American Express, Banco Pichincha, Disney, General Mills, Hewlett Packard, Ocasa, Royal Caribbean Cruises, UBS, and Wyeth Consumer Healthcare.
