Students Say - Academics
"Christian Brothers University students describe their school as "a close knit educational environment" where "having a good time" and "meeting new people" are par for the course. Students find that the "great" Memphis campus is filled with "active community citizens" and "thinkers who absolutely fulfill their God-given potential." Students at CBU hail from 19 different states and 22 countries, and CBU is ranked 3rd for its campus diversity among Southern universities. However, the majority of students at CBU aren't far from home, with 83% of students coming from Tennessee. CBU is also a female-friendly campus: women make up 55% of the population at this once all-male institution. "

Students Say - Campus Life
"The students who attend CBU are a hardworking ad studious bunch: 88% ranked in the top half of their high school graduating class, and 49% ranked in the top 10%. So it's no small feat that these students describe the school as "the perfect environment for learning." A "small institution" that is rooted in "the LaSallian tradition of service and academics," CBU provides "personalized education and attention" that focuses on "personal improvement, intellectually as well as emotionally." Students praised the dual nature of a CBU education, which involves both "academic progress and human development." Students feel that the academic experience at CBU provides "what you need to know to have a good life" and leaves graduates "prepared to enter the professional world." The faculty is comprised of professors who "really do care about their students" and "want to help you succeed not only academically, but also in your desired career." The "functional, integrity-filled education" students receive at CBU "emphasizes how great a Catholic education is.""

Students Say - Student Body
"Christian Brothers University has an active campus life. Students say that although the school is "all about an education," they also "know how to kick back and have fun." The school "encourages growth, employment, student activities, and partying" through the variety of activities offered to students. Fraternities and sororities are very popular at CBU, and tend to dominate campus social life. However, for the students who are not involved in the Greek system, there are plenty of activities to keep occupied; over 40 different intramural teams, honor societies, and student groups are registered on campus. Memphis also provides many entertainment and career options for CBU students, and many participate in internships with major corporations and research institutions. Over the past few years, FedEx, International Paper, AutoZone, Morgan Keegan, St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, and Buckman Laboratories have sought out CBU interns. No matter how they spend their time, students feel that each of their activities at CBU contributes to a unified experience. As one student said, "My school is my life: the activities, the people, the learning all connect.""
