Students Say - Academics
""Manchester College is a four-year, very liberal, Church of the Brethren affiliated college." Standout academic programs include "accounting, chemistry, pre-med, environmental studies, education, and pre-law." "Professors are the best part of the school, being knowledgeable, capable, and approachable." They are "passionate about what they do and that shows both in and out of the classroom." It's no wonder that "the students at Manchester College have unusually close relationships with their professors," seeing as "professors care enough to help you find a summer internship, write you emails to check in with you while you are studying abroad, and are always willing to offer a listening ear." However, the administration is a different story altogether. "The administration makes your life particularly stressful and annoying by changing policies and harshly implementing archaic policies with little or no notice," one student says. Another agrees, "When it comes to paying bills or filling out any other important document, Manchester College is the worst of the worst.""

Students Say - Campus Life
""Life at Manchester is pretty fun, but can get a little boring," one student explains. "North Manchester is a pretty small town, so if you want to go to the movies or even to a Wal-Mart, you have to drive to Wabash, Fort Wayne, or Huntington." Due to the limited entertainment options, "there are some students who go home a lot." But if you choose to stay in town or on campus, "There are about a thousand clubs to be involved in…. Most every weekend there is some sort of activity going on sponsored by one club or another." "Although alcohol is forbidden, most off campus housing have parties that many underage students attend." For example, "There are dance parties at the sport houses (our equivalent of the Greek system)." For non-drinkers, "the school almost always has something fun going on during the weekend, like casino night and club-sponsored dances." Intramural sports are also "popular," with Ultimate Frisbee reigning supreme. "People at Manchester tend to be somewhat politically-minded," so come ready to defend your stances on the issues."

Students Say - Student Body
"The typical Manchester undergraduate is "very intelligent," "polite and well-read, and he or she also is up-to-date on current events." This person is "from a small town in Indiana," "but the student body is diverse in background and beliefs." "There isn't a lot of ethnic diversity, mainly just difference in opinions, religions, etc.," one student says. "Sports are a big common ground with students," but typical jocks these students aren't. "There are people into sports, peace, science, math, business, music, theater, etc and everyone coexists relatively peacefully," forming "a great close knit community." Students note that this community is comfortable with Manchester's "outspoken" gay community. "The hodgepodge of students creates a very welcoming and open atmosphere for everyone." But students suggest that you do not come to "Manchester if you are not open to learning about other types of people and are not willing to accept differences.""
