Newcastle University, part of the elite Russell Group, was established in 1834 as a School of Medicine and Surgery and is now one of the UK's leading universities with a reputation for excellent teaching and research.

The University is located in the North East of England and has a student population of over 18,000 students with over 100 nationalities represented. The university campus is based in the heart of Newcastle, which is one of the liveliest, friendliest and cosmopolitan places in the country. As well as having a low cost of living, Newcastle is also one of the safest cities to live in the UK. The city has rail links to all the major cities in the UK, and an International Airport, which means that other worldwide destinations are easily accessible.

School Says - Campus Life
Newcastle University is situated on a single-site campus in the centre of a lively and cosmopolitan city in the North East of England. Newcastle has an international airport making allowing easy access to Europe and the rest of the world, and is three hours away from London by train. There is also an extensive bus network and underground metro transport system with stations close to the University campus, making transportation around the city quick and easy.
