Peter Mandel is a journalist and an author of books for children, including 'Jackhammer Sam' (Macmillan) and 'Bun, Onion, Burger' (Simon & Schuster). Mandel is a contributor to The Wall Street Journal, The Washington Post and The Boston Globe who lives in Providence, R.I., with his wife, Kathy.
