Staged in partnership with du, Against All Odds is an Entrepreneur Middle East Live webinar series that features enterprising women who have risen above personal and professional challenges to develop solutions, launch businesses, and lead global initiatives that make them inspirational role models around the world.

For this edition of Against All Odds, Agapi Stassinopoulos, a best-selling author, motivational speaker, and workshop leader at Thrive Global, a company founded by her sister, Arianna Huffington, advised our listeners to let go of what does not work and instead create the lives they really want.

When asked about choosing the right time for starting a business, Stassinopoulos advised fledging entrepreneurs to ignore negativity, and take it one step at a time. "If you feel that this is your time [for starting a business], nobody should stop you, but go mindfully, with your wisdom and with your intuition," Stassinopoulos said. "If people say that you are crazy and should not do that, note that when my sister left Huffington Post to start a business, a lot of people advised her, "yes, go for it,' but also a lot of people said, "no, don't do it.' So, you have to time it and to follow your own intuition. Today, I'm very proud of my sister that she did follow her lead and her strength to create this incredible business [Thrive Global] to help so many people to find their way of taking care of themselves."
