QBE Re Appoints Sven Liu as Head of Greater China

QBE Re, the reinsurance division of QBE Insurance Group, today announced the appointment of Sven Liu as Head of Greater China, a newly created role reflecting the company's strategic focus on expanding its Asia footprint.
Based in Singapore, Liu will be responsible for overseeing portfolio management and driving growth opportunities across the Greater China region. He will report to Cindy Foo, Head of Asia at QBE Re, who was appointed to the role in December 2025.
Liu brings more than 16 years of reinsurance experience across Asia and Europe, with senior leadership roles spanning underwriting, client management, and business development. Prior to joining QBE Re, he held roles at Munich Re and SCOR, where he developed deep regional expertise and strong client relationships.
