Société Générale today announced the appointment of Selina Cheung as Head of Equity Capital Markets (ECM), Asia Pacific, reinforcing the bank's strategic ambition to expand its investment banking franchise across the region.

In her new role, Cheung will oversee the origination and execution of equity and equity-linked transactions across Asia Pacific. She will collaborate closely with teams in Asia, the United States, and Europe, and leverage the research expertise and distribution capabilities of Bernstein, the cash equities and research joint venture between Société Générale and AllianceBernstein.

Based in Hong Kong, Cheung will report regionally to Stephanie Clement de Givry, Head of Global Banking and Advisory, Asia Pacific, and functionally to Jeff Mortara and Anvita Arora, Co-Heads of Global ECM.

Cheung brings more than 20 years of capital markets experience to the role. She joins from UBS, where she most recently served as Head of Unified Global Banking APAC, leading integrated coverage across wealth management and investment banking. During her tenure at UBS, she also held senior leadership positions including Co-Head of Asia ECM and Head of Private Financing Markets APAC.

"This appointment reflects our strong ambition to expand our investment banking franchise in Asia Pacific and to better support our clients through every stage of their journey," said Stephanie Clement de Givry. "Together with Bernstein's leading research platform and strong presence in Asia, we are well positioned to deliver deeper insights and differentiated value to our clients."

Cheung's appointment underscores Société Générale's continued investment in senior talent and its commitment to strengthening its equity capital markets platform in one of the world's most dynamic growth regions.
