Kregzo's Nitin Bhalla Emphasizes Why You Shouldn't Just Follow Trends On the sidelines of Sharjah Entrepreneurship Festival 2018, Nitin Bhalla, founder and CEO of Kregzo, emphasizes the pitfalls of following trends.

The Sharjah Entrepreneurship Festival 2018's Startup Town showcased more than 70 startups across tech, e-commerce, healthcare and more. Entrepreneur Middle East chats with Nitin Bhalla, founder and CEO of Kregzo, a community platform supporting entrepreneurs to bring their ideas from to concept to the market by providing resources and connecting them to mentors in the industry.

Bhalla asserts how entrepreneurs shouldn't just simply follow trends, pointing out blockchain as an example: "Everyone wants to build everything around blockchain. Instead of doing that, figure out if you actually need blockchain for that particular technology or the startup you're trying to build and serve the community. [Having a] startup is not about the new tech or the new app in the market, it's more about figuring out the problem in the society you're living in around you, and trying to solve that [with] the best of your interests and passion."

Organized by Sharjah Entrepreneurship Center, Sheraa, the Sharjah Entrepreneurship Festival (SharjahEF) 2018 gathered more than 3,000 attendees consisting of youth, entrepreneurs, government partners, investors and industry veterans. The two-day event featured more than 100 prominent local, regional and international speakers.
