At this year's edition of STEP Conference, which gathered startup founders, investors and mentors from across the MENA startup ecosystem for the seventh time, Entrepreneur asked some of them about the key factors they'd like to see changed.
"The biggest change I'd like to see is more faith in the stories that we are building," says Walid Mansour, Partner and Chief Investment Officer of MEVP. "It's because we have a very valuable region, a big market, and lots of demand for technology companies. These companies have to believe in and build for this region which means [that their] solutions should fit this region and their teams should understand how to scale and how to build amazing companies."
In addition, Lee McMahon, co-founder and Principal of Support Legal, Vijay Tirathrai, Managing Director of Techstars, Fares Ghandour, Partner at Wamda, and Rana El Sakhawy, founder of Monkibox, all shared their thoughts- check out the video to hear their insights!
