Buying a franchise can be a good idea for someone who doesn't want to build a business from scratch. From Subway, to McDonald's and Dunkin' Donuts, riding on the success of well-known brands could perhaps ensure that your money is well invested. But it is not always the case.
There are several things one has to keep in mind. Can the people of the region where you are opening the franchise afford such a brand? Do they even like healthy food or designer clothes?
We asked UK-based Paul Davies, director of BMF Limited, at the Franchise India Expo 2018 to give five tips to would-be entrepreneurs who plan to buy a franchise. Here's what he had to say.
