Faster processors, better cameras, improved graphics and whatnot, we are all used to technology getting more and more efficient each year. But, with the new iPhone 7 and its variants finally into the market, there exists ample of opportunities to take advantage of technology getting better and more powerful, especially in the area of application development.

With the release of Alexa by amazon and the news of Cortana getting smarter, app developers have a newfound objective to make Siri more intelligent, with options of integration of multiple apps to increase productivity. Besides, Apple is doubling up on gears to increase performance and improve battery life, providing opportunities for new applications that can harness the increased power and efficiency.

Given below are some of the unique features of iPhone 7 and 7 plus and how app developers can make the most of them-

1. Two Cameras-

Apple has always been smart about its features. Recognizing that one piece of technology cannot do everything, Apple has come to the conclusion to combine multiple elements to bring forth a product that's far better than its parts.

Although Apple has consistently improved the camera every year, to the point wherein images are as good as real life pictures, it has always lacked the DSLR quality, or simply telephoto lenses.

Luckily, iPhone cameras have gotten a lot small as they've grown power. So,with the obvious choice of adding another dedicated telephoto camera to the new iPhone 7 plus, it has combined the zoom capabilities in the software. This new addition of second camera generates some amazingopportunities, since it permits the 7 Plus to capture detailed information about a particular photo. With better and more precise telephoto lens, camera app developers can look forward to using these tools to deliver more useful applications or enhanced video making tools etc. For example, the recent update to 7 Plus allows it to provide a fuzzy background with a sharp, in-focus subject for pictures.

2. Super - Efficient Cores :

Apart from the cameras, multi-core processors are yet another transition, which can offer new array of opportunities for app developers. Since Apple transitioned to Intel core a decade ago,

The philosophy has been similar, having a number of powerful cores within the processor to share the load rather than single core doing all the work.

However, with the new iPhone 7 family, Apple has taken a different approach, so as to maintain a balance between the performance output as well as power, as ramping up the performance might lead to too much power intake. Even if you have the best performer in smartphones, if it can pump amazing graphics for just five minutes before it dies, it doesn't make any sense to buy it. The new iPhone includes two high performance cores for intensive tasks and the other two for everyday tasks. App developers can create apps that are centered around the idea of making the most of these cores.

So, with multicore processors, two cameras and other unique features, it really is worth a try to delve deeper into IOS app development and to create greater utility apps to cater to the increased efficiency.
