Venture capital firm F03 Venture Partners along with TECOM Group's in5 and adventure partner Adventurati Outdoor is organizing Adventure2Venture, which will see entrepreneurs and investors come together for a series of bootcamps and workshops in Dubai, UAE. The invite-only investors camp (to be held on January 21-22, 2017) and founders workshops (slated for January 24-25, 2017) will be held at in5, and will be followed by a "fun, fast, furious" canyoning adventure day. Facilitated by Rami Al Karmi, chairman and CEO, F03 Venture Partners, Adventure2Venture aims to add value to both new investors who want to learn more about angel investing, and entrepreneurs seeking to improve their fundraising and pitching skills.

Karmi says that the workshop format was inspired by a need to provide engaging experiences where "both investors and startup can let down their guards," as opposed to formal pitch meetings. In the investors track, the event would cover topics such as basics of angel investing, a look at deal flow, due diligence, term sheets and other legal aspects. As part of the camp, first-time investors also get an opportunity to take investment decisions during the adventure day. As for the founders track, the workshop agenda includes information on business model innovation, lean startup methodology, business development, sessions on pitching skills, among other themes.
