Speaking at the Bengaluru ITBiz event conducted by the Government of Karnataka, Bhaskar Ghosh, Group CEO of Accenture Technology Services, spoke about the changing trends in the IT space.

"The most interesting trend is that the lines are getting steeper, it's all about speed to market," Bhaskar said. Hence we need to learn and master the speed, he added.

Ghosh emphasised on the importance of connecting different modes of technology via technologies like AI and IoT, quoting Gartner's prediction of 21 billion devices being connected by 2020.

"It's not only about software..in the new world we have to bring everything together to create value, adding that the industry needs to put together various elements of technology going forward," he said.

Most important concepts - connect everything and intelligence everywhere and take tech to people, were flagged by Ghosh as he emphasized on the untapped opportunity in Artificial Intelligence.

Bhaskar also stressed upon the importance of artificial intelligence and how it can change the face of industries like manufacturing, mobility and others.

Ghosh said that the increasing practical use of technology will change the face of the industry.
