DSG Consumer Partners, founded by Deepak Shahdadpuri, is an early-Series A focused fund backing non-digital/offline businesses early on. Shahdadpuri tells Entrepreneur India why tech businesses are glamourous and whether angel investors are losing the opportunity of backing promising early stage start-ups to large investors?

Deepak has been an investor in India since 2012 and has made more than 45-50 investments. He says that the lack of venture capital in India is being fulfilled, but at the same time there lacks focus on the more initial area of funding like agri-processing, brick and mortar etc. He says that though the market is getting a little low, it is best for the entrepreneurs. He has a lot of hopes from Indian market in 2016 and has a positive outlook for the future.
