Bengaluru-based agritech platform BigHaat has raised USD 10 million (around INR 83 crore) in a fresh funding round led by Bidra Innovation Ventures, the US-based venture capital arm of OCP Group, a global player in plant nutrition solutions.
Existing investors JM Financial and Ashish Kacholia also participated in the round.
Sateesh Nukala, Chief Executive Officer of BigHaat, said the partnership with OCP Group is expected to help the company deliver advanced agricultural solutions to Indian farmers and strengthen its presence in the farming ecosystem.
The company said the new investment will be used to expand its digital platform focused on farmers and to build a traceable and globally compliant food value chain.
Over the years, BigHaat has increased its presence in the Indian spices value chain and claims to have developed one of the largest direct-to-farmer networks in the country. It follows environmental, social, and governance (ESG)-led cultivation and sourcing practices aimed at reducing carbon emissions, improving traceability, and ensuring integrated pest management-based food safety standards.
Yassine Cherkaoui, CEO of Bidra Innovation Ventures, said the partnership is based on a shared belief that sustainable growth in agriculture depends on practical local solutions that improve farmer incomes while meeting global standards for quality, safety, and environmental responsibility.
Founded in January 2015 by Sateesh Nukala, Sachin Nandwana, and Kiran Vunnam, BigHaat operates a digital agriculture platform offering seeds, fertilizers, pesticides, nutrients, and farm equipment. It also provides advisory services on crop health, soil conditions, and weather trends through its app, website, and multilingual phone support.
With this round, BigHaat's total funding has reached about INR 300 crore. The company reported crossing INR 1,100 crore in revenue in FY25, along with improved profitability.
Other major agritech companies operating in the same space include DeHaat, AgroStar, Ninjacart, and WayCool.
