Equirus InnovateX Fund (EIF), an early-stage venture fund focused on enterprise and infrastructure technologies, has participated in the seed funding round of Neverinstall, a cloud-based PC and virtual desktop platform.
Founded in 2021 by Ram and Lakshman Pasala, Neverinstall enables enterprises to stream applications and desktops to any device directly through a web browser.
Neverinstall's platform separates the operating system from physical hardware, allowing users to access virtual desktops and applications across browsers, mobile apps, thin clients, and native desktop clients. The approach addresses growing enterprise concerns around traditional Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI) systems, which are often expensive, complex to manage, and limited in flexibility. Industry estimates suggest legacy VDI deployments can cost organisations between USD 2,000 and USD 3,000 per user annually.
The startup uses a cloud-native, protocol-agnostic architecture called CloudLink, designed to support secure access without requiring local installations. This makes the platform suitable for use cases such as GPU virtualisation, application streaming, distributed teams, and bring-your-own-device (BYOD) environments.
The seed funding will be used to expand Neverinstall's deep-tech infrastructure and enterprise security capabilities. Planned developments include a Hyper-Converged Infrastructure (HCI) platform that supports a "Bring Your Own Infrastructure" model on commodity hardware, and the launch of an enterprise secure browser with an embedded eBPF-based security layer. These initiatives are aimed at enabling compliant workflows in regulated sectors such as banking, financial services, and healthcare.
Lakshman Pasala, Co-Founder and CEO of Neverinstall, said, "Traditional desktop virtualisation is broken for modern enterprises—it's expensive, inflexible, and complex to run at scale. We built a unified stack from the ground up, backed by deep R&D across streaming, infrastructure orchestration, and security."
Neverinstall claims that it reported threefold growth in FY26 and is building its enterprise pipeline for FY27. The platform is currently used by organisations including Tally, Porter, Alliance Broadband, and Primebook, supporting thousands of employees.
To support its next phase of growth, the startup has appointed Ramesh Gopal Krishna, formerly of Microsoft, Meta, and Salesforce, as Chief Revenue Officer, as it looks to scale operations in India and international markets.
