Good Monk, the flagship brand of Bengaluru-based Superfoods Valley, has raised INR 33 crore (around USD 3.65 million) in a pre-Series A funding round at a valuation of INR 175 crore (around USD 20 million).

The round was led by RPSG Capital Ventures, with participation from Sharrp Ventures and Hyperscale Ventures, the family fund of Dot & Key founder Suyash Saraf. The families of founders Amarpreet Singh Anand and Sahiba Kaur also took part in the funding.

This round brings the company's total funding to nearly USD 6.5 million, including close to USD 3 million raised earlier. Good Monk recently appeared on Shark Tank India Season 4, where it secured an investment deal from Vineeta Singh, co-founder of Sugar Cosmetics.

According to the startup, the fresh capital will be used primarily for research and development. Good Monk plans to work on new products and explore additional formats that allow nutrition to be added easily to everyday meals.

The startup is focused on developing clean-label and clinically backed nutrition solutions that can be integrated into regular diets without major changes in eating habits.

A portion of the funds will also be allocated toward expanding its distribution reach, particularly across tier II and tier III online markets. In addition, the brand intends to invest in building brand awareness in a more structured and targeted manner.

Founded by Amarpreet Singh Anand and Sahiba Kaur, Good Monk operates in the preventive nutrition segment. Its core offerings include sprinkle-on nutrition products that can be added to daily foods. The brand sells through its own website as well as major e-commerce platforms such as Amazon and Flipkart.

The startup states that it has recorded steady growth over the past 18 months and has achieved contribution margin positivity at the CM3 level. It operates in a preventive nutrition market that is seeing increased demand, as consumers seek convenient nutrition options aligned with existing food habits.

With the new funding, Good Monk plans to broaden its product range and scale its online presence across India.
