JM Financial Asset Management has launched its first pre-initial public offering (pre-IPO) Alternative Investment Fund (AIF), titled "The Pre-IPO Fund," under Category II.
The fund recently received approval from the Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI), marking the firm's entry into the expanding pre-IPO investment segment.
The new fund is part of the company's strategy to build a broader AIF ecosystem aimed at supporting emerging businesses in India. The platform is designed to offer specialised capital solutions spanning credit, real estate, and pre-IPO opportunities.
According to the company, the Pre-IPO Fund will invest in firms that are expected to go public within approximately 18 months. Pre-IPO investments have gained traction as India's startup and private markets mature, offering investors an additional route to potentially improved risk-adjusted returns.
The fund will be managed by Jaisinh Suchak, Managing Director for Alternative Investment Funds at the firm. He has more than 23 years of experience in financial services, including over a decade on the buy-side.
With this launch, the JM Financial Group aims to diversify its private equity offerings while strengthening its role in India's evolving private market landscape. The company stated that it plans to leverage market insights, governance standards, and fund management capabilities to identify investment opportunities in high-growth enterprises.
JM Financial Asset Management provides investment solutions to both individual and institutional investors across multiple asset classes.
