Hyderabad-based nano-formulated plant-based nutraceutical brand ZeroHarm Sciences has raised INR 65 crore (around USD 7.8 million) in a funding round led by Kotak Alternate Asset Managers Limited through its Kotak Life Sciences Fund I, which invested INR 40 crore (USD 4.8 million), and Alkemi Growth Capital, which contributed INR 25 crore (USD 3 million).

Cipher-Plexus acted as the exclusive financial advisor to the transaction.

Founded in October 2020 by Sachin Darbarwar, the direct-to-consumer brand develops plant-based nutraceutical supplements using nanotechnology and in-house research, extraction, and manufacturing processes. The company focuses on delivering high bioavailability and safety across a range of wellness products.

The fresh capital will be used to build what the company calls a "Trust over Promise" platform, designed to demonstrate supplement effectiveness through measurable health outcomes rather than unverifiable marketing claims.

Funds will also support national brand building, expansion into the United States, United Kingdom, and the Middle East, and scaling its vertically integrated research and manufacturing ecosystem.

Sachin Darbarwar, Co-founder and CEO of ZeroHarm Sciences, said, "India's supplement market has a trust deficit — consumers are asked to believe claims they can never verify. This investment allows us to change that equation fundamentally. We are building India's first 'Trust over Promise' platform, where every customer can see measurable health outcomes through before-and-after diagnostic testing. That's not marketing — that's medicine-grade accountability applied to wellness."

He further added, "The partnership with Kotak Alts and Alkemi Growth Capital brings long-term partners who share our conviction that the future of nutraceuticals isn't louder claims, but visible proof. Kotak Alts' belief in our fully integrated model — from farm to nano-formulation to consumer — and Alkemi's expertise in scaling consumer health brands gives us the foundation to make 'Proof over Promise' the defining standard for this industry."
