Pet healthcare startup Dr. Doodley has raised USD 3.3 million (INR 30 crore) in a pre-Series A funding round, comprising INR 20 crore in equity and INR 10 crore in debt.

The equity portion was led by V3 Ventures. Other participants included Campus Fund and Thackersey Family Office, along with angel investors Yatin Shah and Karan Bhagat, founders of 360 ONE Wealth, and Gautam Dalmia, managing director of Dalmia Bharat Group.

Founded in 2023 by Utsav Bisaria and Yash Jayprakash Ladda, Dr. Doodley operates a hybrid model that combines vet-at-home services with 24/7 multispecialty pet hospitals. The startup currently runs three hospitals in Bengaluru, located in Jayanagar, Yelahanka, and Whitefield, and works with a team of around 35 veterinarians.

The hospitals offer in-house diagnostics, X-ray, ultrasound, surgeries, and blood testing facilities. The startup also provides inpatient care with round-the-clock monitoring and access to specialist doctors across areas such as surgery, gynaecology, and internal medicine. Dr. Doodley follows standardised clinical protocols across its facilities.

The fresh capital will be used to expand hospital capacity, strengthen clinical operations, and prepare for entry into other tier I cities. Over the next 12 months, the startup plans to add four new hospitals in Bellandur, Indiranagar, Rajajinagar, and North Bengaluru, taking its total count to seven facilities.

During this period, Dr. Doodley aims to treat more than 1,00,000 pets and increase its veterinary workforce to over 100 doctors. It also plans to roll out 30-minute vet-at-home services and introduce a flat pricing model of INR 10,000 for surgeries across procedures. The company said it treated over 30,000 pets and conducted more than 1,000 surgeries in the past year.

Dr. Doodley operates in the growing pet healthcare market, competing with players such as Wiggles, Supertails, Vetic, and Petzzco.
