AI-enabled NDT robotics startup Octobotics has raised around INR 10 crore in a seed funding round led by Navam Capital, with participation from BYT Capital.
The company said the funds will be used to speed up product development, strengthen field validation, and support international expansion. It also plans to allocate capital towards certification processes and expand operations across India, Singapore, and the Middle East.
Founded in 2020 by Ishan Bhatnagar and Gulshan Kumar, Octobotics develops AI-enabled non-destructive testing robotics platforms for inspection work in asset-intensive industries including oil and gas, chemicals, power, marine, and railways.
The startup focuses on inspection tasks in hazardous and hard-to-access environments.
Octobotics counts the Indian Navy, Indian Oil Corporation, BPCL, HPCL, Aarti Industries, GSFC, and Saudi S-Chem among its clients. It reported revenue of INR 2 crore in the last financial year.
Its products include rail inspection systems, automated weld inspection platforms, and specialised tools for elevated and confined inspection areas. These systems aim to reduce manual effort and help operators derive actionable insights from inspection data collected.
