9 Jan 2017 marks the 10 year anniversary of first iPhone release, which totally flipped the Apple's growth in the mobile industry. With iPhone release in 2007, Apple launched a "revolutionary mobile phone'. The widescreen handset sported a unique touchscreen interface designed completely by Apple.

Every year Apple brings out some new features, but while other companies want to follow the market strategy, Apple has been very different in their approach. Earlier, phone manufacturers tried just everything they could to compete with the iPhone and differentiate themselves from the iPhone models. It's been ten years since Apple introduced the original iPhone and nine years since they rolled out the App Store.

On the 10th anniversary, let's take a look back 5 memorable feature of the iPhone :

Apple Multi-Touch Interface:

Apple brought us the first multi-touch device for the masses when it came out with the iPhone in 2007. The company acquired Fingerworks and its multi-touch technology in 2005. Mainstream exposure to multi-touch technology occurred in 2007 when the iPhone gained popularity, with Apple stating that they "invented multi touch" as part of the iPhone announcement.

iPhone 4 With Two Cameras:

The iPhone 4 was the first iPhone model to have two cameras for making FaceTime video calls. The iPhone 4 featured an additional front-facing VGA camera, and a backside-illuminated 5 megapixel rear-facing camera.The LED flash for the rear-facing camera and the forward-facing camera were not present in older models.

Safari Web Browser:

You can install other browsers from the App Store, but the default web browser that is in built in every iPhone, iPod touch, and iPad is Safari web browser. On January 7, 2003, at Macworld San Francisco, Steve Jobs announced that Apple had developed their own web browser, called Safari. A Windows version, now discontinued, was available from 2007 to 2012.

New Accelerometer And Gyroscope Technology :

Steve Jobs gave a quick display of iPhone 4 to show off its new gyroscopic capabilities. Gyroscopic capabilities included keeping iPhone 4 competitive with new handheld gaming systems, along with other iOS-enabled devices that Apple produces in the future.

Since its inception, the iPhone and all other Apple devices had an accelerometer – a device that measures velocity, enabling devices to adjust automatically from landscape to portrait mode. This was designed to make the devices more sensitive, responsive, and powerful for gaming.

Working With iPhone's Siri:

Siri is a intelligent personal assistant that sends messages, reminders, information by using your voice. Siri was originally introduced as an iOS application available in the App Store by Siri Inc., which was acquired by Apple on April 28, 2010. On October 4, 2011, Apple introduced the iPhone 4S with their implementation of a beta version of Siri
