When This Founder Had to Make One Big Decision, She Realized There Are Multiple Paths to Success Alyssa Furtado of Ratehub discusses a pivotal crossroads in her business.

Opinions expressed by Entrepreneur contributors are their own.

In this video from Entrepreneur Network partner Mars Discovery Disitrct, we hear from Alyssa Furtado, co-founder of Ratehub, which is a financial product comparison website that offers insights on credit card and mortgage rates.

Furtado discusses the struggle she and her co-founder faced to either self-fund or take on a new partner with capital.

They grappled with the possiblity of giving up control to a new voice on the board, or else in the face of lacking enough funding for Ratehub to reach its full potential. Inevitably, Furtado and her co-founder followed a path that made the most sense for Ratehub and learned, through listening to many different voices, there is not one way of doing successful business.
